Idli Fry

Idli Fry in Marathi

Turn a day old Idlis into a delicious and savory breakfast.


Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
10 medium idlis (preferably a day old)
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp urad dal, 2 pinches hing
3 dry red chillies
4 to 5 curry leaves
very little salt (Idlis already contain salt)

Method:
1) Cut idlis into medium cubes. Break chilies into medium pieces.
2) Heat oil into a kadai or nonstick pan. Add urad dal. Wait till it becomes pink. Add hing, chilies and curry leaves.
3) Now add idli cubes. and stir well. Sprinkle little salt. Saute until idli becomes slightly brown.
Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.


Tips:
1) If the size of idlis is little bigger, then you may need to add some more oil.
